4 days (3 Nights) on Lake Como to experience
The first day
Arrival in the afternoon at the Grand Hotel Imperiale, check in to the reserved
room, a dip in the pool if it’s not too late, an aperitif at the Regina Bar and
alfresco dinner at the Garden Restaurant. After dinner at the Regina Bar with
music from the Piano.
Second Day
Breakfast from the buffet, trip on the Lake with a ferry of the Navigazione
Laghi line. Stop in Bellagio for a light lunch, visit to Villa Melzi, shopping.
Stop in Tremezzo Cadenabbia to visit the botanical gardens and the Museum of
Villa Carlotta followed by a visit to Villa Balbianello, Lenno. Return in late
afternoon. Gymnastics in the Fitness Centre and a regenerating sauna. Aperitif
at the poolside and romantic dinner on the lake shore, at the Imperialino Restaurant. A
quiet drink after dinner at the Piano Bar of the Hotel or gambling in Switzerland
at one of the three casinos that are within a 30 minute drive : the Casino in
Campione d’Italia, the Casino in Mendrisio c/o Fox Town and Lugano Casino.
Third Day
Breakfast from the buffet, a morning of sun at the pool and a snack at the Regina
Lakeside Bar. In the afternoon, ferry to Piazza Cavour, visit of Como, the walled
city, shopping on the silk road, visit to the Museum of Silk and the art exhibition
at Villa Olmo. The evening in a typical restaurant on the Lake such as : the Locanda
dell’Isola Comacina which is the restaurant of “famous people” , Da Silvio in
Bellagio for its Lake specialities, the Gatto Nero in Cernobbio with a splendid
view of the lake and the city, Ristorante Al Veluu, Rogaro for a refined local
cuisine, Ristorante Da Candida Campione d’Italia (one Michelin star). For dancing
fans, a dinner dance on board the ferries of the Navigazione Laghi.
For trekking and photography enthusiasts, in the morning, scenic walk with breathtaking
views from Moltrasio to the summit of Mount Bisbino (about 3 hours). Lunch at
the Bugone Refuge with mountain specialities and the possibility of horse-riding.
Fourth day
Breakfast from the buffet, by car to Lugano (30 minutes), visit of the city,
lunch on the lakeside, on the way back, a stop at Fox Town for shopping in about
100 stores of the best brands. Or morning at the pool, waterskiing and boat trip.
Departure in the early afternoon. |
