HOTEL IMPERIALE: Faq 

At what time is the room available?
We offer the room to our guests as soon as they arrive if it is ready. The rooms are guaranteed for 3.00 p.m.

By what time must the room be vacated on departure?
The room must be vacated by 12.00 noon, except in special cases where a late check-out is possible.

Can luggage be left in the hotel?
Luggage can be left in storage and the service is available 24 hours a day.

What time is breakfast served?
A buffet breakfast is served in the Restaurant from 7.30 a.m. to 10.15 a.m. or on request directly in your room.

Is breakfast included in the price of the room?
Yes, our rates include breakfast.

Does the hotel have a car park?
Our guests can park in our garage (service on payment).

What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations can be cancelled or modified free of charge up to  2* days prior to the arrival date. (* In the periods of fairs shown in the rates, at least 5 days’ notice is required)

Which credit cards do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, such as: American Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners and Pagobancomat.

Are pets accepted?
Yes, small pets only with a supplement of  Euro 30,00 a day.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?
All the rooms and public rooms in the hotel have air conditioning. In the rooms the temperature can be adjusted individually.

Does the hotel have an Internet point?
Yes, available to clients 24 hours a day. Cards for one hour are sold at Reception at the cost of  Euro 3.00.

Can I access the Internet from my room with my computer?
Yes, all the rooms have a high-speed Internet connection.

Are there rooms for non-smokers?
There are rooms for non-smokers on all the floors and smoking is not allowed in any of the public rooms of the hotel.

Where can I smoke in the hotel?
You can smoke in all the rooms reserved for smokers and in the open air areas.

Does the Hotel have a lift? Are any rooms reserved for the disabled?
Yes, the hotel has a lift and three rooms are equipped for the disabled.

What bar and restaurant services does the Grand Hotel Imperiale offer?

  • The Hotel’s restaurant The Garden is open in the evening from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. and offers both a daily menu of Italian cuisine and an à la carte menu.
  • The Imperialino Restaurant with a panoramic veranda and lakeside garden is open for lunch from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. and for dinner from 7.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. The restaurant offers a menu with typical dishes from Como and a menu with traditional recipes re-interpreted by the Chef.
  • The Regina Bar is open from 10:30 a.m. until midnight with music at the piano in the evening (at weekends).
  • In the summer, there is bar service at the swimming pool from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

Which services does the hotel offer for fitness and relaxation?
The Grand Hotel Imperiale has:

  • An open-air swimming pool in the garden on the lake shore open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • A gym with modern equipment (technogym) open from  8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • An open air tennis court (cost €15  per hour)
  • a sauna open from 8:00 a.m. to  11:00 p.m.  (the sauna, free of charge, must be booked at least 30 minutes in advance).

Is there a laundry service?
An iron and ironing-table are available in all the rooms on request.
Laundry and ironing
Articles handed in by 9.00 a.m. will be washed and ironed on the same day. The service is available from Monday to Friday.
Dry cleaning
Items for dry cleaning handed in by 9.00 a.m. will be returned by 12:00 noon the next day.

Is there a shuttle service to/from the airport?
On request the Grand Hotel Imperiale can organize transfers to and from the main airports or places of interest. Please contact Reception for more information.
